Membership
Membership in a church is about more than attending church meetings or being a part of a club. Members commit to joining a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to a higher degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice. Our pastor and leaders pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer and teaching.
We hope that, as the Lord leads, you make a covenant to be part of our church family.
Membership Class
Because we want you to make an informed decision about joining our church, we have provided a membership class where we can cover what it means to be a member, as well as our beliefs and philosophy.
This class occurs on a Sunday during the months of January, May and September. You can sign up for our membership class during the worship service or by emailing Pastor Felty.
Baptism
For many, baptism is the first public step of obedience to Jesus Christ. If you have not been baptized following salvation, we ask you to take this step before becoming a member. Our membership class covers the biblical significance of baptism, frequently asked questions and gives you an opportunity to share your testimony.
Membership Covenant
The final step of becoming a member of Horizon is to sign the Membership Covenant. In the membership class, we will explain the covenant, listen to your testimony and answer any questions you might have. Once you fulfill the requirements of membership and sign the covenant, you are considered a member.
