CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Updated:  March 28, 2020

With the constantly changing events surrounding the coronavirus, we want to keep you updated on how Horizon is responding and any important information that you might need.

As information changes, this page and our church Facebook page will provide the most up to date information.  We are committed to doing everything we can to providing a safe and healthy worship environment.

Is Horizon holding worship services this weekend?  (March 29th)
NO.  Bill Gravell, Williamson County Judge, has declared that no church can gather until May 11th.  That means that the earliest church service that we can have will be Sunday, May 17th.  This means that all services, fellowships, work days, growth groups and activities are cancelled until May 11th.

What can I do to stay connected during this time of cancellation?
There are several important things that you can do during this time:

*Watch – Every Sunday a video sermon will be posted for you to watch.  We will continue our teaching time just like we were meeting together in person.

*Give – Your church will continue to need you during this difficult time.  There are several ways to give:
Paypal

Mail In Giving Envelope  (Contact pastor@horizonbaptist.com if you would like some mailed to you)

Automatic Draft (Contact pastor@horizonbaptist.com to get this set up)

*Pray -Remember to pray for one another during this difficult and strange time.

Is the church facility open and accessible during this time?
NO.  The church facility can only be accessed by special request during this quarantine.  Please contact Pastor Felty if you need something at the church,

What if I come into contact with someone who tests positive for coronavirus?
Health officials are encouraging everyone who has come into contact with someone who tests positive for coronavirus to self-quarantine for 14 days.  We are asking our church family to do the same.

How should I respond to the coronavirus?
The instinct is to panic because things seem to be spinning out of control.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  God is still in control and for the Christian it is an opportunity to display our trust in a sovereign God and love our neighbor.
